Our Story

Hi! We’re Brittany and Beth — two best friends and life-long public-health wanderers who spent years moving through the world’s noise and learning just how much we all crave a soft place to land. For us, that has always been books: our tiny pockets of refuge in the chaos.

So we built an escape we could share.

Volumes & Vices is our roaming little book den — a cozy, curated trailer filled with swoony romances, moody thrillers, witchy worlds, and indie treasures chosen for the pure pleasure of reading.

Our hope is simple: to create an escape that comes to you — where readers can discover something that lights them up, all while enjoying the vibes of local breweries, wineries, coffee shops, and community spaces around Durham and beyond.
